DeZirteer
Scientific software for detrital zircon U-Pb geochronology. Geoscientists use it after Iolite or Glitter has reduced the analyses, when the remaining job is to filter, calculate, plot, and export under one set of rules.
What was built
One analysis path, carried through three interfaces.
-
Python scientific software
The version documented by the 2021 paper: import a reduced dataset, apply filters, run the domain calculations, draw the plots, and export tables and figures.
-
Web application
The same path in the browser: import, filter, calculate, plot, and export. It is at dezirteer.com/app.
-
MCP service
The same U-Pb tools, exposed so ChatGPT can call them. The product site publishes the connector address https://dezirteer.com/mcp.
The analysis workflow
- Dataset A reduced U-Pb table from Iolite or Glitter.
- Settings and filters Discordance, analytical error, and uranium concentration.
- Calculation Discordance and best age.
- Plot and export Concordia, density estimates, tables, and figures.
Decision
The web application and the ChatGPT connector use the same analysis path as the scientific software: import, filter, calculate, plot, and export. The connector calls those tools. The 2021 Chemical Geology paper documents the scientific workflow. It is separate from the later web application and connector.
What shipped
Python scientific software, documented by the paper. A web application at dezirteer.com/app. A ChatGPT connector, with the address published on dezirteer.com.
